how to protect your outlook from opening without knowing the pass

hi there,
i just got a query like when i open my outlook 2003,it prompts
for password even if i don't enter the password it still opens it though u
can not send/receive emails,but still u got access to my outlook like can
read my inbox,send items delete items etc everything.i just need to know is
there any way i can stop people to open my outlook without knowing the
password.

You can assign a password to your PST file (if your mail is stored on a
PST file), but this is also weak and can easily be disabled.

There are other methods, like logging off when leaving your desk, and
user-protecting your PST file (if it resides on an NTFS partition).
These are Windows basics, not particular to Outlook.
