how to prevent users from installing s/w ?

Hi,

There is a plan to upgrade more than 6000 NT4 wks to XP.
As part of security policy, there is a plan to prevent
users (except with admin rights) to install s/w using a CD.

What are the changes I should make to XP before creating
the image for mass deployment ?

are these 6,000 PC's attached to local Windows 2000 server? if so, I would
use Group Policy settings from your Windows servers to control this.
