Hello,
Can some one tell how to prevent user install software to pc. We are using
Windows XP pro in my office.

It takes a lot of work just to lock down a PC - but yes you can use the
Group Policy editor to create allowable actions.

However - here are a few commonly missed configuration options that
opens the PC to abuse. Are all accounts secured with Passwords (Strong)
and not written on Post-It notes on the side of the monitor ? Has the
default
Administrator account been secured with a password. Are the existing
user accounts all "Administrator" privileged ? To prevent unauthorized
reboots - does the BIOS have a Boot password ? Is your Screen
Saver password enabled and set to a realistic timer value (~10 Minutes).
Do Office workers share or know others passwords ?
