In Taskbar/start menu, set it "always hide".
I found out it blocks Hotmail/OE6 syncro when the icon is showing but when
it's not there, everything works OK.

The best way is to uninstall it, and wait until it is out of beta to
reinstall it.

Download a copy of Startup Control Panel from here:

http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml

Find and disable the items that it's starting.

They are:

gcasDtServ.exe
gcasServ.exe

Keep in mind that preventing these from running will disable the real time
protection that the application offers.

Not at all!
The troubles are caused by the icon in systray but the progran is just fine.
When the program is running and the icon is showing in the systray, I cannot
download my Hotmail emails in Outlook Express 6.
But if the program is running and the icon is hiding, I have no more
problems between Hotmail and OE.
Don't ask me why but that's the way it is with me: some time ago I decided
to uninstall MSA because of the same troubles, then I gave it a try again
and I found a solution that works for my system.
And all is just fine, exept the scanning scedule: my MSA starts scanning 48
hours earlier than the time I'm setting.

Not really. I prefer to keep beta crap off my computer.

I just know the workaround is there Kurt.
I did not say I knew what the workaround is.
I provided a good source for the workaround.

Are you capable of giving the OP a solution that will also leave Microsoft
AntiSpyware installed?
Or can you only pick at an answer I make that will lead the OP to the
solution requested?
I gave a source for a solution and you do nothing but criticize.

LOL! Couldn't provide the "workaround" along with the group,
huh?

Stop the services from starting automatically, but he wanted to do it
from the program, but that doesn't work right. I stand by my suggestion
to uninstall it at least until it is out of beta.

solution requested?

I can do both!

I asked a question. My, aren't you the over-sensitive one! ROFL!

The program was presumably downloaded and installed earlier
today after I received an update message. But I have no icon
my systray and neither of those two programs exist anywhere
on my system.

What gives?

Bob, the download yesterday was not for MS AntiSpyware. It was for a
malware removal tool. It downloads, runs and if nothing is found -
disappears. If anything is found, you receive a notice on the screen. This
little program is similar to McAffee's Stinger tool in that it checks for a
handful of common intrusions only.

And you wonder why some see you as a troll!

Good bye Kurt.
Your deliberate misdirection of this thread stops now.

Thanks for the clarification, Sharon.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx! That's how you deal with things
you are unwilling to see, you block it from your sight. You are the
"See no evil" monkey with its hands firmly covering its eyes!

I ain't going away, Juppy. You can hide reality from your own eyes, but
you cannot hide it from people that actually have an open mind.
And you wonder why some see you as a troll!

Quote me. I've never wondered why you MicroDrones see me they way YOU
want to see me. Anyone that stands up to ya'lls sycophantic beliefs,
ya'll consider a Troll.
Good bye Kurt.

Too bad that isn't the final Good Bye I'll get from you.
Your deliberate misdirection of this thread stops now.

LOL! What misdirection? Of course you don't have the common decency to
explain your baseless claim!
Don't forget the last word your ego demands.

Yet another baseless claim. My ego demands nothing, as I'll respond to
any post I feel like responding to. There are plenty of times that I
don't respond to a post, when I have nothing further to say. Just go
back to one of the last threads we both were involved in, "More than one
install" and see for yourself. That is if you are willing to see
reality! You have probably already xxxxxxxxxxxxxx'd it out of your
mind.
