How to prepare a Powerpoint Presentation for 9x16 display format

Is there an applet or tool that reformats an existing PowerPoint 2000
presentation for use on a 9 x 16 format display TV/Monitor?

File->page setup - you will probably need to add that as a custom size. I
use 2003 so don't want to give exact instructions in case it's different in
2000...

Hope that helps.

There really is not an automated way to do this, but I don't know how good
one could be.

Because of the different aspect ratio, converting a 4:3 to a 16:9 will
require each slide and object's layout placements to be reconsidered.

You can just squash the presentation (forcing one size to fit the other) by
changing the page setup, but that really isn't very good. Perhaps a better
way would be to create a new presentation, than open the existing one,
arrange the two PowerPoint Presentation windows side by side, and cut/paste
the items over, making all the placement adjustments at that time.

If your going to be using this format down the road I would after you have
changed under File, Page set up, the size to read 16w and 9v save it as a
template file(.POT) I would suggest that you do not do this to an existing
presentation, as it will muck up all pictures you have in the presentation
