how to paste a table in Excel into word 2003

Hi Keevill

Here are some mutually-exclusive options:

1. Change the column widths and/or text sizes in Excel, then copy and
paste into Word.

2. In Excel, copy in the usual way. In Word, choose Edit > Paste Special
and paste as a picture. Click the picture and drag its corner handles to
re-size (or, right-click the picture, choose Format Picture, click the
Size tab and enter dimensions there).

3. In Word, create a 1 row, 1 column borderless table. In Excel, copy
the cells in the usual way. In Word, choose Edit > Paste Special and
paste as a picture. Word will fill the table cell with the picture. For
subsequent ease of handling, if you choose this, it would be wise to set
the picture to in-line, not floating. To do that, right-click the
picture, choose Format Picture, and on the Layout tab, choose In Line
with Text.

Hope this helps.

Using office 2003, I have a table in Excel containing a list of items with
prices etc and want to paste it into Word. When I do so , the Excel table is
too wide and overhangs the page. How can I paste it so that it just fills
the page nicely?
