Why won't my windows open maximized? I know there is a
way to correct this but have forgoten how. Please help!

This is what Dev says:

"Try dragging the window borders to the size desired, then close the window
while holding down <shift>.

Also try a right-click on the shortcut to the program being run. Click
PROPERTIES|RUN AS, and select MAXIMIZED."

Hi Suzanne,

This is a common workaround - note that a window usually opens at the same
size that the last window was closed at.

Open just one window to the small size. Grab the corners and stretch it to
the maximum size. Do NOT use the maximize button. Then depress and hold the
<ctrl> key and close the window by using file/exit, not the "x" in the
corner.

Subsequent windows should now open in the full window. If not, try again,
this time using the <shift> key.
