I am running Office Suite XP Professional under Windows
XP Professional.

Whenever I open any program or go to any website, the
windows always appear in half-screen mode. Is there a
way to set some default so all screens open in full-
window mode ?

Right-click on the application icon and select:
Properties > Shortcut and next to "Run", change
it to "Maximized".

Resize the screen to the size that you want and when you close it (the first
time only) do not use the X in the upper right hand corner, instead go to the
upper left hand corner and click on "file" at the bottom of the list that
appears select
"close".After this it should reopen to the same size that you had before.
