How to Open NEXT Message instead of LAST?

Max

Hi experts,

In OL XP I sort my Inbox in descending order by date, so the latest
arrived message is on the top. Now I go down to the oldest unread and
read the message, but when I delete it the previous message opens.

Is there any way to force OL XP to open the next unread message
instead of the past read message?

Thanks,
Max.

Tools | Options | E-mail Options -- at the top is a dropdown for "After
moving or deleting an open item". Make your choice there.

No matter which option is selected, still the message at bottom opens.

Ahh, so you're not really OPENING the messages, you're using the Preview
Pane to preview them. I don't know if you can change that behavior for
previewing messages. Sorry.
