How to mute sustem and IE sounds?

How do I mute mouse-click navigation sounds when using internet explorer and
general navigation throughout file folders, control panels etc. Every
internet link I click makes a sound. I listen to music on my pc and the
system sounds are annoying and loud (because music volume is loud).

Uncheck the box next to navigation sounds in the Sounds applet!
