HI...

if these are 30 new PC's you need to setup and configure, consider using
Ghost to burn a CD of the current config of the one PC done, and use it to
install and load these other machines.

as far as running around to each PC to upload hotfixes, hopefully you
understand that you are only patched up as of today. Microsoft release
patches on a regular basis. If you want to avoid using Windows Update
manually, take a look at HfNetChkLt/Pro -- it allows you to remotely
distribute and install patches to multiple PC's in your network.

According to Microsoft, there is no way, out of the box, to slipstream hotfixes.

Scroll down to "The Integrated Installation" here

which will allow you to integrate XP Service Pack 1a into install media (CD-ROM, network
share, etc.)

Download the Update Rollup 1 for Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=826939
and follow the instructions in the Windows XP Hotfix Installation and Deployment Guide.

Yep, this works pretty well. There are several sites available by Google search dedicated
to creating slipstream installation CD's, network shares, RIS images etc.
