How to make Home Video-DVD with MM2

Hello.
I have captured my video tape with MM2. Format of the
captured file is set to "High quality video (large)".
What is the best way to create DVD video from this format?
Could I use any free tool for converiosn and burning?

Also, you'll most likely get better DVD video quality,
and better compatibility with various DVD authoring
programs if you save your movie in DV-AVI format
instead of WMV.

So how do you save it in DV-AVI format? The only option it gave me when I
clicked 'Save As' was WMV. Thanks.
