How to make attached pictures smaller

I'm not sure how to make the pictures that I attach smaller. They are HUGE
when I go to view them. Is there a way to change this?

Depends on how you are sending (attaching) them.
If you start a new message, and then go to the "attach" paper clip, you will need a graphics editing program that can reduce the size of your picture file before you attach it. There are several free programs to do that, including Irfanview (www.irfanview.com) or Picasa from Google.

If you start in your "Pictures" folder and select one or more pictures, then right click and choose "send to - mail recipient" you will be give a window that lets you choose the size of the picture to be attached. i.a. smaller, small, medium, large, etc.

For email, "smaller - 640x480" is good unless you expect the recipient to edit the photo.
