Could someone tell me how to login XP as Administrator. I am listed as a
user with Administrator privileges;however, some programs return an access
denied message when setting them up. The current problem is that I dl'ed
a program to clean a worm off my HD but the files in which the worm
resides give an access denied reading.

Any help wwould be appreciated.

XP home - you can only do it in safe mode
XP pro - hit ctrl-alt-delete twice at the logon/welcome screen

However access denied is more likely to be because the program is
running, or the files affected have been backed up in system restore
(which is owned by, and normally only available to the 'SYSTEM' user).
There is =very= little that you can do as 'Administrator' but not as any
other admin user.

If it is XP Home, you have to boot to Safe Mode, after hitting F8 as the
BIOS info goes to black to get the menu. 'Administrator' then appears
on the Welcome Screen

In Pro you can also hit CTL-ALT-DEL twice at a normal boot's Welcome,
and enter the explicit name
Administrator
as the user
