How to keep favicons from replacing "e" on taskbar

I get a bit annoyed each time windows xp replaces the familiar "e' for
internet explorer with the currently displayed site's favicon. When I have
to flip back again, I can't immediately find the taskbar button I want. Is
there a way to stop it?

The taskbar will always display an IE icon for an IE window. Perhaps you're
thinking of IE's Address Bar?

Nope. When there is only one IE button on the Windows XP Task Bar (so we
are clear, the bar that runs across the bottom of most people's desktops and
includes the start button, system tray, etc.) with only one IE tab displayed
in the IE7 window, that single page's emoticon will display instead of the
"e".

Forgive me if this appears twice. I sent this response out at 10:00 PM
last night, and it hasn't show up yet in my newsbrowser.

IE7 and no favicon software. Is there are way to get rid of them
altogether?
