How to interrupt powerpoint slide show and return to last slide

I want to interrupt a PowerPoint slide show to move to a program or an
internet site temporarily to illustrate a certain point then return to the
slide show at the last slide shown.
 
You could either

Create a hyperlink button to the other program (when you quit it you'll be
back in powerpoint)

Or have powerpoint and the other program open and use ALT TAB to switch
between them.
 
John, thanks a LOT worked like a charm! Will make my presentations a whole
lot more interesting.
