How to install a second dns server

Hi
i have had a server crash, in my network i have 2 dc server but only one was
dns server and global catalog.
Now i must reinstall all and don't want mistake again.
Can tel me the correct procedure to install a second dns server on my second
server?

Did you removed the crashed server using DCpromo?
If no then you need to perform metadata cleanup, transfer Fsmo roles, etc...
And you need to manually remove the Server from Active Directory Sites and
Services.

You do not have to reinstall all, what you need to do is install DNS on the
remaining DC, add the zone, restart the netlogon service run ipconfig
/registerdns and make the DC a Global Catalog.
