How to get Windows Defender appreaing always in the system tray ?

I'am not sure this is the appropriate forum, but I cold not find a better one.

Compared to Microsoft Antispyware (the former Giant antispyware), Windows
Defender does not show it-self on the system tray, which I find annoying
because it prevents me to quickly check whether the computers I supervise
(about 30 !) are protected.

I see in the regsitry that Windows Defender is launched with the "-hide"
attribute (see hereunder a copy of the Run subkey)
Windows Defender\MSASCui.exe" -hide

What if I remove the "-hide" argument ?

Any help would be apprecaiated.

Here is the link for the correct newsgroups to which you should post
questions and/or comments about the beta Windows Defender:

These newsgroups can be accessed via NNTP or HTTP.

To access these newsgroups using NNTP, please use the following

Windows Defender is designed to be less intrusive. You'll only see the system tray icon when something needs your attention.

Dear Doug,
Thank you for your reply. I actually found that the new version of
Microsoft Defender (version 1.1.347) allows to do what I want (it suffices to
check the appropriate box in Tools -> Options).
Kind regards,
Paul.
