Hello:
My goal is to get a full understanding of this os I am using, and
how I can

create programs for it, yes the intenet is full of information, too much if
I can say

since I do not have background to identify which information are usefull.

I need help as to how to get started properly in understanding windows, and
what

I can do with this os.

The guidance I need namely , in where to look and what to read, instead of
jabbing

in the dark , I think this newsgroup have more than enough experts to give
me a

starting guide.

Thank you in advance.

So, based on your post, you want to learn about Windows XP and about
making applications for Windows XP Platform.

First, you need to understand XP and how it works, get the books called
"Windows XP For Dummies" - it's not a insult, they are good books for
starters.

Then get a couple books on MS Office for Dummies so that you learn how
to interact with existing applications that are used and follow the
interface standards.

Now, determine what kind of applications you want to write - there are
many areas and each is different. Find a book that covers your area of
interest.

Now, determine what language you want to write code in and start
building simple applications and such - this will take years of
learning, unless you want to just be a "coder".

There is no simple list of books for you to ready - your best bet is to
get a part-time job or a connection with a computer users group that
does technical projects.
