how to get music to play throughout the whole slide presentation

I am totally new to power point. I was able to creat a slide picture
presentation but cannot get the selected music file to play (without
stopping) throughout the presentation. Right now the music keeps starting
over every time a slide changes.
I want it to start at the beginning and not end until the presentation is
over (repeating the song if needed, until the end).
