How to get ms programs to be default

When I open pictures or video clips I want MS picture viewer and Media
Player to be default, yet my Nero programs open up. How do I set MS
programs to be the default for these media files?

Right click on the file you want to open, select Open With, select Choose
Program, highlight the application you want to use then place a tick in the
"Always use the selected.........." box

In windows media player, select tools->options. Then in the file type pane,
do select all, then OK. I don't know the procedure for MS picture but it is
probably similar. Yous could also go in windows explorer, tools->options and
in the file type pane, select each file type that you are interested in, and
associate the proper application to it.
