How do I get this discussion group to automatically notify me when someone has added a comment to the thread I've started - like this one? The Mozilla groups, eg, offer this facility, as do almost every other group I participate in.

I'm assuming you read these "discussions" through the web (as do I)? If so, you need to realize this isn't just some forum software that microsoft is running, it's a full-fledged Newsgroup. If you have a news reader, you may be able to set properties somewhere in it to notify you of responses, but if you're looking at this through the web you are stuck just looking at it through a GUI Microsoft threw around it.

Unfortunately, my ISP doesn't carry Newsgroups, as is typical in the country where I live. So I have to rely on the quality of the GUI.

and all the rest of the microsoft groups are on

msnews.microsoft.com

your ISP does not need to carry it.
