How to format a slave drive

How do I format a new hard drive as a slave in XP? I have
the HD installed and BOIS sees new HD ok. If I need a boot
disk, How do I make a XP boot disk?

Hi,

If your XP is on a primary partition and you have
installed a slave hdd are you able to see the hdd on your
Explorer from Windows XP. If you are able to see it, then
right click on it and choose format. Or else you will
have to format it with Fdisk by booting with a bootable
floppy disk.

Run compmgmt.msc and go to Disk Management. If the disk is already
partitioned, you may need to initialize it to get a drive letter
assigned. If the space is unallocated, then you can create a partition
using Disk Management.
