How to force TweakUI in Windows 2000 to clear IE History on exit or shutdown, etc.

I'm having a problem using TweakUI to clear the URL history in Windows
2000. On the Paranoia tab I have all the boxes checked except for
"clear last user at logon" Under the Logon tab it says to have that
box unchecked for the paranoia tab to work right. I used to run
Windows 98 and had TweakUI installed on that and everything worked
like it was supposed to. It's supposed to clear out the URL history
on logon so I don't know why it's not doing it. Is it because I am
not logged on as the "admin" profile? I have it set to logon
automatically with a profile name that I put in when I originally
installed Windows 2000.

Thanks for any help.

I believe the problem is that "URL history" is not a composite of several
different things, and TwealUI doesn't handle them all. The issue is
complicated by the fact that every combination of Windows version and IE
version is somewhat different from every other version. Whrn you say "URL
history" are you referring to what's displayed when you click on the
History button, the infomration that is used to color recently visited
links, or the URLs in the drop-down list for the Address box?

My experience has been that not every option in TweakUI works on my
combination of Windows (2K SP3) and IE (5.5 SP2). The same may be true
for your system. Does the History clear properly when you go to Tools >
Internet Options > General and click the Clear History button?

Yes, it clears the history like it's supposed to when I hit the clear
history button under internet options, tools.

Since that method works and TweakUI doesn't, I'd just use the method that
works. It's no more trouble than using TweakUI, and can be done from the
control panel.
