how to flag a document

I would like to know how to flag a document to remind you
have to work on it (like you flag emails ??)

someone knows??
 
Can't do it with Word or File Explorer (AFAIK).

Not sure how you want the computer to decide if work is required.

Try: using Outlook, drag the doc file into a Task for Calendar item, and
use the reminder/date due features of Outlook to bring the need for
editing to your attention.
