Hi,

One day, on my WinXP home machine, after login, I got :
"A problem is preventing Windows from accurately checking the license for
this computer. error code: 0x80090019"
Then, the PC logs me off.

No changes to the hardware recently.
I googled around but found nothing usefull.

Any suggestions?

TIA,
John7

Perfect...
you can't even get into your computer?

Read this google listing http://tinyurl.com/phvj5

If that doesn't help or it is a WGA then the following will help:

Start up in the recovery mode ( Command Console)
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314058/

Then rename or delete all the files mention'd in this article
http://labnol.blogspot.com/2006/04/workarounds-to-disable-non-genuine.html

you can edit the registry after booting up -

Then Start | Run <type in> wuaucpl.cpl <enter>
Set to notify you and don't download the wga again
