How to fix Corrupt Contact Entries

I have a user who reported her Contacts are not showing up in the Outlook
Address book.

Upon closer examination it seems the first 10-15 rows of the Address book
are blanks, and the user had to simply scroll down to see the rest of her
contacts.

I attempted to highlight all the blank rows and hit delete, yet that does
nothing.

When highlighting one of the blank entries and hitting properties I receive
the following message:
"Property dialog box could not be displayed. An Invalid EntryID was passed
in."

Some background: Outlook 2003, Exchange 2000. The user had just been
exmerged back online.

I've tried doing copying all contacts over to another folder and activating
the alternate folder as a member of the OAB, but the same issue is apparent.
I've gone through the list of 500 or so contacts and see nothing obvious in
the Outlook folder list view. My aim is to remove the blank entries.

Any help you may be able to provide will be appreciated, thank you.

I had the same problem, but I found the answer. Open up each of your
contacts and make sure that in the “Display as†field, there are no spaces
before the name, if there are, delete them. Save and Close. That should fix
your problem, at least it fixed mine.
