How to export the GAL to file?

Hi all,

How can I export the server GAL to a file?

I see how to export my Contacts list into Excel using File/Export in
Outlook, but I am trying to do the same thing for the Exchange GAL.

Thanks!

You can use the preview edition of our latest addition 'ContactGenie -
Exporter' (preview is full function & no cost). GAL export is one of the
many options available http://www.contactgenie.com/cgx.htm. You may also
find other alternatives at http://www.slipstick.com. The current public
version doesn't include "selection criteria" functionality but the final one
does. If you need it for your current requirement - just send an email to
supportATcontactgenie.com (official release expected next week).

Hi Karl,

Thanks for the tip, but I tried to use the tool and after counting the
folders it crashed with this error:

A system level error has occured.
429 - cCR-fGetGALCount
ActiveX component can't create object

Thanks!

Not much that can be done if it doesn't get reported to us directly
especially since others are using it without problems (Error 429 usually =
system specific config issue). CGX has a built comprehensive error reporting
function that can send a problem report directly to CG support with all
kinds of required information immediately at the time any problem occurs. A
response is generally returned within 4 hrs during normal biz hrs and
usually within 8 hrs any other time - 7 days a week (and usually a lot
faster). This newsgroup is not the right support venue for anything other
then Outlook itself.
