How to erase drop-down history?

When I double click a blank window I get a drop-down
listing of previous input such as in the Google search
window, etc.

This happens while in Win2K and also XP while running IE6.

How do I clear these?

Is there a setting in win2k or XP by chance?
 
Highlight the text and press the DEL key.

Look for AutoComplete in your Help file.
 
For a regular search at google (or any search engine)
IE> Tools> Internet Options> Content> Autocomplete> Clear Forms.

Or, just select an item in the list and hit the delete key.
