How to *enable* legit program?

Hi
In Software Explorer I can click on and view my on line back up program, but
I cannot enable it as the enable button is grayed out. Is there a way to
permit this program so that it is evaluated as *OK*?
I clicked the join SpyNet but cant seem to find how to enable, ban or allow
programs.
(I can run the program manually)
Thanks
Running on Vista Business.

Also if you disabled something in Software Explorer, go back and click the
entry and then the enable box should highlight. Click enable. Please note
that some system programs (tasks) can not be disabled.

Enable and Disable have nothing to do with "not yet classified". Disable
prevents the program from running at Logon. Enable counteracts Disable.
There is no way for you to tell Windows Defender (WD) to change the
classification "not yet classified" to "classified". However, you can tell
WD to ignore your program so you will not get a real-time alert at Logon.
Use Tools->Options, scroll down to Advanced Options and "Add" your program or
folder
to the box "do not scan these files or locations:"
