how to enable "control" key????

My "ctrl" key ( both of them) do not work. ie if I push ctrl + p it soesn't
print or ctrl + right mouse it will not pick that item. I have obvioulsy
disabled something but how do I fix that.

Yes, you may have disabled something. But it is also possible that your
keyboard is defective. Do you have a substitute keyboard with which to
test? If replacing the physical keyboard corrects the problem then you will
know that you didn't disable anything and if it doesn't then you will know
better where to look.

system restore to nearest good working point.
