How to edit path in XP

In previous versions of Windows, I have edited the PATH in
autoexec.bat so that it could find certain
directories/programs (i.e. java). Where do I make this
change in XP?
 
go start/control panel/perf...and maint/system/
go advanced/environment variables/
go system variables/edit/
and
take it fr there
