how to disable programs on start up???

Yes, I also have the problem, I want to know how to
disable several programs that come on when I start the
computer up. I do not know how to \The instructions say:
open the mmc microsoft management console, but have'n a
clue as to where it is or how to find it?? I NEE HELP

First, check the program's own options for a method to prevent it loading at Startup. If you can't find it there, go to Start, Run and enter MSCONFIG Go to the Startup tab and uncheck the item there. When you log off/log on or reboot, you'll get a notice that you're running in Selective Startup mode. Check the box Don't show me this again...........
