Hi everyone,

Thank you for your help in advanced...

We would like to make sure only the IE running. No one should be able to
maximize, minimize, or restore the window. I just wanted the IE window
maximize so no one can access to other "places" on the desktop.

How do I disable the maximize, minimize, and restore features (the button on
the upperleft corners? I found out GPO can disable the menu browser.

Thank you!

Hi Wesley,

Thank you for your quick response! I just tried to run in Kiosk mode. One
issue is that there was no navigation bar. I do not users to be able to move,
re-size, or max/min the IE windows as I just want them to access one home
page.

Any other way I can do to achieve the criteria?

The PCs is for Library Catalog pc. I just want the patrons to use it just
for book searching purpose but not use it for other purposes.

Thank you again!

Hi Wesley,

Thank you for the attempts again :)

In fact, what I would like to do is... I would like to restrict users to
click on icons of the "Minimize", "Restore", and the " Close -x" on the top
right corner of the window, which each program has.

I tried to look at the GPO 3 to 4 times before but all the settings are
related to the navigation bar, Internet options...etc, which could not
achieve my goals.

Thank you again for your help.

I honestly do not know how you can disable Maximize, Minimize, Restore.
Even if you hide them, Ctrl + W or Alt + F4 will still close Internet
Explorer.

Everything listed in these two articles...

Is a policy.
