HOW TO: Disable Internet Connection Sharing?

My home network looks like this:
2Wire DSL Modem > DLINK DI-514 Router W/Wireless Access
Point

1 Desktop connected to router via NIC.
1 Laptop connected to router via Wireless PC Card.
1 Desktop connected to router via Wireless Desktop Card.

They all can access the internet fine, but every time
they connect to the router ICS automatically starts up.
If I select disable, I get the message "the connection is
currently busy with a connect or disconect operation" and
can not disable it. Eventually ICS will disable itself,
but it will only come back the next time I start my
system and it hooks up to the network.

None of the computers are setup to share an internet
connection, so I am assuming my router is the thing they
are sharing off of. The thing is ICS is not necessary,
and in fact adds problems. I was wondering if anyone
knew how to disable this "feature" for good. I've tried
to disable ICS/ICF by going to Administrative Tools >
Services, but it continues to appear. If anyone has any
idea how to completely disable it, or even uninstall it,
then please let me know. Thanks in advanced.

I found my own solution! To permanently disable a
computer from using ICS, or more accurately any computer
or router as an internet gateway, go Start > Control
Panel > Add & Remove Programs > Add/Remove Windows
Components > Networking Services, and then
uncheck "Internet Gateway Device and Discovery Control
Client." Click "OK" and restart your computer and viola,
no more ICS popping up.

What you saw and disabled isn't ICS (Internet Connection Sharing).

It's an "Internet Gateway" icon that lets you monitor and control a
broadband router connected to your network. The router is the
"Internet Gateway Device".

Actually a computer that runs ICS is considered an
Internet Gateway Device. The Discovery and Control
Client will detect routers or computers running ICS.
Disabling this not only prevents computers from
becoming "clients" to one of these gateways, but also
lowers the risk of external network attacks to port 1900,
which the D&CC uses.
