How to set admin password on changing system settings?

1. Control Panel>Windows Firewall - uncheck File & Printer Sharing. If using
a third-party firewall, disable sharing from within that program. If you
previously created shares, go to them, right-click on them, and mark them
as "do not share".

2. Create strong passwords on all accounts, including the built-in
Administrator account. Write them down somewhere! To access the built-in
Administrator account in XP Home you will need to go into Safe Mode.

3. Make other users Limited accounts.

4. XP Home doesn't have the ability to set fine-grained permissions and
restrictions that XP Pro does. Either upgrade to Pro or use something like
MVP Doug Knox's Security Console or the MS Steady State to give you more
control.

Not clear where is File & Printer Sharing in Windows Firewall?
Not fully clear how to access the built-in Administrator account in XP
Home, its not possible in normal way?

1. Make liberal use of Windows XP's Help & Support. There is plenty of
information about file/printer sharing there.

2. I already told you how to access the built-in Administrator account. You
need to go into Safe Mode. Again, look at Help & Support.

Based on your two posts, it might be best for you to have a computer
professional come on-site to help get you set up securely for whatever you
are trying to do. I say this not to offend you but simply because we all
have our areas of expertise.
