Hello,

Desperate to find a solution to this weird problem in my Windows XP
Professional laptop( Dell Inspiron 5150 ).

This is a new laptop and I vaguely remember that somewhere I chose to
auto-login to one id( which actually has adminstrative priveleges ).

Now when I boot my laptop, it automatically logs in to this id, but I would
like it, to stop and ask for id, that I can chose. At this point, I do've
another ( default ) id 'guest' in this laptop.

But how to disable the auto-login feature or change it to ask login
information ?

Thanks.
K-man.

Click Start, Run and type "control userpasswords2", and click Ok.
Enable the option "Users must enter a user name and password to use this
computer" option, and click Ok.
