How to create video session between 2 home connected PCs ?

Hi,

I have 2 PCs with XP installed. One PC had Logitech WebCam Express
plugged in, along with Logitech Desktop Messenger & ImageStudio 7.3 S/
W installed. Another PC had iPrC WebCam plugged in, along with its
properiatory image & video S/W installed (iPrC supports Windows
Netmeeting, MSN, ICQ & Yahoo! Messenger). How could I enable video
session between these 2 PCs connected via my hub, just like I make
Windows messenger, Yahoo! messenger or Google talk over internet with
my friends ?

Tks!

I am almost certain that MSN, ICQ, & Yahoo Messenger require a internet
connection and username to connect (of course I am happy to be corrected
if wrong :) ), but Netmeeting is different. With NM you can specify an
IP address to connect to. In the case of a LAN you can simply type in
the local address of the other computer. To get the local (IP) address
of your computers all you need to do is go to START>ALL
PROGRAMS>ACCESSORIES>COMMAND PROMPT. When that opens, type:
ipconfig/all (and press enter) and note the IP address. (to get the
address of both computers, you will need to do this on them both, or you
can simply look in the hubs 'setup' to see them. You will have to check
the hubs documentation on how to do this). This will be your local
address allocated by the hub and this is the address that the other
computer needs to type into NM
Note that unless your hub and PCs are on all the time, the local address
may change unless you force the hub to allocate a static address to your
computers. Once again, check your hubs documentation on how to do this.

You should be able to run netmeeting between two computers on
your lan. Type conf in the run box (conf.exe on your computer)
and press the enter key to start the setup. Below is a site with
info.
