I have used PowerPoint to create a slide show of digital camera pictures.
Now I need to burn a DVD cd and watch it on my home television through
my DVD player.

Thanks

Record your presentation as a movie using somthig like:
http://www.techsmith.com
Convert the movie to an MPEG2 file (needed for a video DVD)
Import the video into a DVD authoring program to actually create the DVD
menu and setup.
Burn the DVD.

DANCEHALL.
PPT2DVD is another choice. It is a total solution for burning PowerPoint
presentation on DVD for viewing on regular TV! As many as 8 presentations can
be imported and converted at a time by PPT2DVD. DVD menu is built during the
conversion and later after the conversion you can use the remote to select
which item to display. sounds interesting, right? check the dowmload section
for a free trial version at http://www.ppt-to-dvd.com

If you are dealing with mostly images I suggest using Micrsoft Photo Story.
THis is exactlly what it was meant to do.

Funny how you can create a MPG movie directly from the "File" menu if your
running PowerPoint for MAC but that same feature isn't available in
PowerPoint for Windows. Can't figure that one out. Windows builds a better
version of their software for a operating system they don't sell? When will
PowerPoint grow up and become a real display tool?
