Can I make a DVD or CD disk of powerpoint slides that will play on a cd/dvd
television player capable of showing such as jpeg files as a slide show? I
volunteer for the animal shelter which cannot spare a whole computer to play
the show of adoptable dogs but can use a dvd player and TV for this. I did it
with digital photos alone, but these are not easy to insert identifying text,
hence desire to make power point show on the TV. If not, what software would
do this short of editing text into each digital-photograph file?

Swilley,

If it's just pictures and text overlayed, then you may find that if you just
export each powerpoint slide as a JPEG/JPG, then put these on a blank DVD,
then your DVD player will happily show them as a slideshow (a feature of
your DVD player).

To do this in powerpoint

Open your presentation
add the pictures
add the captions/text

File > Save as> JPGs

SWilley,
If you want to convert PowerPoint to DVD and view them on TV,see
http://www.powerpoint-to-dvd.com
It is an easy-to-use PowerPoint to DVD software ,you can record your
narrations as well as add texts.

Or if you want to directly burn digital photos to DVD, see
http://www.photo-to-dvd.com
It has a nice slideshow function build in, and also you can edit texts
easily and infinitely.
