How to copy text in Outlook without extra blank lines

I use Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 (11.8118.8107) SP2. I open an
email message and select all (^A) and copy (^C). Paste it into Notepad
window. Most of the time, all lines are separated by a blank line
between the lines. Is there a way to avoid this? Sometimes it doesn't
happen. But I didn't find any pattern.

I have found this to happen when the Outlook message was in RTF format.
I've not seen it with HTML or plain text messages.

All I can think of is that the messages that are coming in must have a
slightly different newline character at the end of each line (Line
Feed vs Carraige Return vs Line Feed AND Carriage Return).

You might try using a text editor like EditPlus as a test:
