How to connect Router to PC to PC

Hi,
For some reasons I want to connect a PC1 to PC2 ( PC2 has 2 Network
adapters /cards ), PC2 connects to a router which connected to Cable
modem. Is this configuration possible.

PC1 -> PC2 -> Router -> Cable modem --- Possible ??????

The current setup -> PC1 and PC2 connects to directly to Router.

Current setup - PC1 -> Router -> Cable modem

Yes that is possable! and if you want to be able to reach the internet you
can set up ICS aka Internet connection sharing

you will also need to get a crossover RJ45 cable so the two computers can
talk to each other you can get this type of cable at any computer store.
