How to connect a Win2000 system to a beamer/external TV screen ?

Under WinXp everthing is simple: I right-click somewhere on the desktop backgroudn,
then select "Properties->Settings", then click on screen number 2 und
check the box near "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor".
This is sufficient to connect a (notebook) system to an external beamer or TV-screen.

But: How do I do the same under Win2000?

There is no second screen to click in the "Settings" tab.

This should be a function of the graphics drivers, alternatively there's
usually a key combo (for example on my Dell it's Fn and F8 for CRT/LCD) you
can press to cycle through laptop screen>external screen>both outputs

You will need to have the drivers for it. Windows XP probably had the
drivers for the notebook graphics card but Windows 2000 didn't. I have a
Sapphire Radeon 9250 on Windows 2000, it has VGA, SVideo, and DVI. I don't
see a second monitor appear in Settings until I install my drivers.

HTH :)
