How to configure RDP over SSL

G

Guest

Hello all,

I'm new in administering Windows servers.

I'm running two Win2k3 with SP1 and XP with SP2.

How do I rdp to my servers over ssl? I also have a certificate server
which is also a dc.

I'd like to use my CA server but I don't know where to request and install the
certificate for RDP.

Please advise.

Thanks.

I'm not a Windows 2003 Server guy but two solutions come to mind...

SSL-Explorer which supports RDP natively...

http://3sp.com/showSslExplorer.do

http://sourceforge.net/forum/?group_id=116065

OpenVPN, a SSL VPN solution...

http://openvpn.net/

http://openvpn.se/bb/index.php

Both are quite easy to setup and use. I currently use OpenVPN to securely
access my home LAN and run RDP through the tunnel...

Beyond those you might post to the...

microsoft.public.windows.server.networking
microsoft.public.windows.terminal_services

....news groups for possible help...
