How to change the subject text in inbound routing to mail

We have set up a shared fax solution with inbound routing to mail -
everything is find.
Routed Fax mail has the subject
"Fax server XXXXXX received a new fax from +##########"
Is there any chance to change this subject text to another text like

New Fax from +########

or similar

There is no way to change the routing extension behavior, but you could
write a small SMTP sink (javascript) that does this
