How to change default "reply to using" account

I have 4 accounts from which to check or reply to my e-mails: X, XY, YZ, &
XZ. When replying to a message, click "send" for some reason the program
always wants to default on the last choice (XZ) and I would like it to
default to the first choice (X) which is established as the default account
in my email account list, especially since that is where I normally reply
from without the extra step of the "send from" account selection. Can you
help me correct this problem?
 
Version of Outlook? If outlook 2003, have you installed sp2?

There is an issue with outlook 2003 where it sends on the wrong account when
it can't authenticate with the smtp server - sp2 fixes it.
