How to cancel predefined scans in Norton Antivirus 2004

Hello everybody.
I have a copy of Norton Antivirus 2004 and I knew there were predefined
weekly scans of the system, but my problem is that now I have a program that
needs to be run exactly at 8pm, and unfortunately my scans are scheduled
right at that hour!
The other program cannot run jointly NAV (it needs all the system resources,
it is a TV capture program), so I tried to cancel predefined scan....but I
have not been able to do it!
I read the Program Help, and it doesn't help....
So I'm here to ask it to you: how can I do it?
Please, is urgent....
