How to boot into safe mode

I'm using XP Pro on my home network and have been having trouble installing
Sound Blaster Live 5.1. I had tried to install and uninstall it and now XP
is booting over and over every time I restart it.

Should I try to boot into safe mode (please say how) or something else?
