How to Autoformat Telephone Field in Outlook Contacts

For some crazy reason, whenever my boss attempts to enter a telephone number
into the telephone field of a contact, it doesn't autoformat the number. For
example, if he enters 7775551111, that's exactly what stays. However if I
were to enter the same thing on my computer, it automatically re-formats it
to (777) 555-1111. I can't find a setting where I can change the
autoformatting rules.

I searched, and found some *similar* posts, but none of the answers helped
in my situation. Please help! Thanks!!

Answered here countless times.
You need to set a default dialing location for your operating system.
How does that not apply to you?

Well, the user told me that they already had a default dialing location in
the Phone and Modem Options. But, it didn't take for some reason... so I
had them create a new one, and it worked. Thanks for your help.
