How to auto-login like in W2KPro

There is a setting in Windows 2000 that allows you to assume a certain
user will be logging on when the OS starts... this lets Windows go
right ahead and log that user on and run his or her startup programs
etc. I haven't found a way to do that in XP or Vista; I always have
to click my user name even though I am the only user. Anybody know
how to automate that in XP (or Vista)?

For Windows XP you can use Tweak-UI ( Logon, AutoLogon )
to Autologon. For Vista you'll need to make changes manually.

In WinXP you can do this:
1. Click Start / Run / control userpasswords2{OK}
2. Click the preferred user account.
3. Untick the box that requires users to enter a password.
4. Click OK.
5. Enter that user's password when prompted.

Thanks, tried Tweak-UI and that seemed to work very well (aside from 1
BSOD while multitabling... thanks Bill! ...lol).
